We know that the name for this site is a little idealistic. It isn’t meant as a call to action, a ‘quit your job and go climbing’ sort of thing. What we intend to communicate, and fuel, is the all encompassing enthusiasm that we all share for climbing. This enthusiasm has led some to take ‘don’t work climb’ very seriously and they have committed themselves to it fully. For others, their various commitments or responsibilities mean their time commitment will never be what they wish it could be.
This site is for both types of climber. We hope to provide inspiration, hard learned lessons and some practical information that will help you to make the most of your time on the hill, however long it is.
We will be posting articles on all types of mountaineering from rock climbing and bouldering to scottish winter climbing, continental ice climbing and alpine routes. We will also be posting on skiing, ski mountaineering and be reviewing books and key pieces of kit that we think will interest you.
